Offenbach's First CSD Leaves the Rathaus at 13:00 on 19 September

Offenbach am Main holds its first Christopher Street Day on Saturday 19 September 2026. People gather in front of the Rathaus from 12:00, the demonstration sets off at 13:00, the closing rally is at 16:00 in the Büsingpark, and the street festival there runs into the evening. The details are on the programme page of CSD Offenbach e. V., and our entry for CSD Offenbach 2026 has the basics.

The route

The demonstration runs from the Rathaus along Berliner Straße, Kaiserstraße, Bismarckstraße, Waldstraße and Bieberer Straße to the Mathildenplatz, where there is an interim rally, then through Austraße, Mainstraße and Herrnstraße to the Büsingpark. The organisers say the route was drawn to pass places that matter to them, among them the AIDS-Hilfe, the Radraum, the weekly market on Wilhelmsplatz and the stretch along the Main. Anyone who wants to be at the park sooner can cut across from the Mathildenplatz down Berliner Straße. The demonstration goes under the motto "Queer OF course", while the association itself runs under "Queer. Solidarisch. Sichtbar."

Why the festival moved to the park

The festival site was originally the Mathildenplatz and is now the Büsingpark. The organisers told the Offenbach-Post that they took the decision with the security authorities after the attack on the Berlin CSD, and that the police already have arrangements for the park from other events held there, the Mainmatsuri and the Lichterfest among them. They expect around 600 people, more than the square would have held. A police spokesperson said there are no concrete indications of a threat and that plain-clothes officers will be on duty on the day.

The stage and the evening

The line-up published so far has MKSM, a singer and songwriter with Russian and Ukrainian roots, the dancer Eliana Hofmann, and a drag show hosted and curated by Feeby Fergison with King Mass(c)ue, Kitty Bambule and Fuego Foureiro. The organisers say the full stage programme follows once it is fixed. A poster workshop runs in the Büsingpark from 16:00 to 19:00, and the official after party is at Hafen 2 in the evening, with balanced tickets from 15 euros, where paying more releases a cheaper ticket for somebody else.

The week before it

A Pride week runs from 11 to 20 September. The KJK Sandgasse holds a queer open stage on 11 September at 20:00, drag performers read from children's books at the Radraum on 12 September while the Martin-Luther-Park is given over to a family afternoon from 15:00 to 19:00, and a drag pub quiz follows at the Freireligiöse Gemeinde on Schillerplatz on 13 September at 16:30, six euros in advance. A film evening at the Radraum on 15 September at 19:30 is free, and the title is only given out by email because non-commercial screenings may not be advertised. Two exhibitions run over the Pride weekend, one at the AAArbeitsamt on Domstraße from 17 September and one at the Stadtteilbüro Mathildenviertel from 18 September, and the Radraum has a Stonewall themed music night on 18 September from 17:00.

Germany, and what else is on

Germany scores 69.54 of 100 on ILGA-Europe's Rainbow Index, and our Germany page sets out where marriage, adoption and hate crime law stand. Offenbach itself has no gay bar, club or sauna on this site: Frankfurt is a few kilometres west, and that is where the city's queer nightlife has always been. On the same Saturday there is CSD Erlangen, about 170 km away. A week later come CSD Lautre in Kaiserslautern, 102 km, and CSD Schorndorf, 155 km, both on 26 September.
