CSD Lautre is on Saturday 26 September 2026 in Kaiserslautern, and this year it has two stages instead of one. The organisers have published the full running order for both, which is the part our CSD Lautre event page does not carry.
The motto is »Lautre ist lauter als Hass!«, which plays on the local name for the city and means roughly that Lautre is louder than hate. It sits under the Rhineland-Palatinate CSD motto for this year, »Mutig. Laut. Selbstbestimmt.«
The demonstration
The Schillerplatz stage opens at 12:00 and the demonstration sets off from the same square at 13:00, goes through the city centre and returns to Schillerplatz. The route is shown as a map on the organisers' demo page rather than written out as street names. Associations and initiatives keep information stands on the square all day.
Schillerplatz, from noon to half past ten
The stage programme starts with a DJ set at 12:00 and a greeting from Omas gegen Rechts at 12:40, then breaks for the march. It picks up again at 13:50 with Anny Ogrezeanu, and a queer panel discussion follows at 14:50. The choir Rosa Note sings at 16:40, Cloudy June plays at 17:20, and at 18:00 the Pfalztheater brings a scene from Edward II and some singing. Melvin Hein is on at 19:30, the drag show led by the Monarchy of Royal Tea at 20:10, and the stage closes at 22:30.
The Fruchthalle, and a literature festival that has not existed before
The second stage is in the Fruchthalle, the city's nineteenth-century concert hall, and it is running »Buch, Wort & Lautern, das unerhörte Literaturfest der Pfalz« for the first time. Readings and music alternate there from 13:30: Narcissus at 13:40, a reading at 14:20, MaLou at 15:10, a queer poetry slam at 15:50, Arno Frank reading at 17:50, Matthis Löw on harp and voice at 18:30, and two further readings at 19:10 and 20:30, the last of them a graphic novel.
The same building holds the exhibition »NANU? Sexuelle Vielfalt in der Pfalz«, on queer life and history in the region, and a photographic project that runs there from 10:00 to 22:00, making portraits of visitors with their own statements about diversity.
The quieter parts
A service opens the day at 11:30 in the Alte Eintracht on Unionsplatz, held by two Protestant ministers together with the drag performer Sissy Chanson, and open to anyone regardless of faith. The Stiftskirche stays open as a quiet room for the whole of the CSD, which is worth knowing if the square gets too loud. The after-show party starts at 23:00 at sukura99.
The city, and the region
Kaiserslautern is not a big scene, but it is not an empty one either. We list IYKYK Queer Bar, two shops, Novum and Pleasure, and, out towards the Pfälzerwald, the lake at Gelterswoog.
