Cumbria Pride is on Saturday 26 September 2026 in Carlisle, and the organisers have published the running order. The day comes in three separate parts, in three time slots, and only one of them is in the city centre. Our Cumbria Pride event page has the outline.
Morning: the info market, in the city centre
The LGBT+ info market runs from 10:00 to 14:00 in Carlisle city centre, with more than twenty community stalls. Carlisle United's community sports trust, Citizens Advice and OutREACH Cumbria are among them. This part is outdoors and in the street, and it finishes an hour after the arena opens, so seeing both means starting with the market.
Afternoon: the Box Arena
The main event runs from 13:00 to 18:00 at the Box Arena on Portland Place, indoors. The bill is George Shelley with Lightlines, Kyle Finn, Michael T Ogilvie, PJ Taylor and the local singer Sandie, with Sam Ashby also appearing. Miss Pearl, who cannot be there, appears in a performance recorded for the screen. Dee Licious and Reese Wetherspoon host.
Stalls inside include Cumberland Council, the Cumbria Transgender Wellbeing Hub, Guiders Against Trans Exclusion, Inspira, Unison and the University of Cumbria. Box Arena Bites sells hot food and drinks between 15:00 and 17:30, which is the only catering window of the afternoon.
Evening: the after party
The after party starts at 20:00 in the same building and is 18 and over. Kyle Finn, PJ Taylor and Sandie play again, and Rayy Vonica and DJ Phil Salmon are on the bill for the first time. Dee Licious and Reese Wetherspoon host this too.
Tickets are free, and they are still tickets
Admission to the afternoon and to the after party costs nothing, but both are ticketed through Eventbrite rather than open doors: the arena has a capacity and the organisers are counting. The afternoon listing gives the venue as 7 Portland Place, Carlisle CA1 1RL. Nobody needs a ticket for the street market.
Getting there, and what else is on
Carlisle is on the West Coast Main Line and the arena is a short walk from the station, which matters in a county where the towns are an hour apart and this is the one day the Cumbrian scene is in a single room. We list no venues in Carlisle itself.
Preston Pride is the same Saturday, about 127 km south, and its parade leaves earlier in the day. The United Kingdom scores 43.9 out of 100 on ILGA-Europe's Rainbow Index, a long way below where it sat a decade ago; our United Kingdom country page has the detail.
