The Christopher Street Day in Emmendingen is on Saturday 26 September 2026 and starts at 14:00 on the Schlossplatz. The date, the place and the shape of the day are on our event page for CSD Emmendingen.
What the organisers publish beyond the date is an access page, and it is more precise than most CSDs of this size manage. There will again be professional sign language interpreters. The demonstration route is short, there is seating on the Schlossplatz and a drinking water dispenser on the square. The warning that matters most for anyone on wheels is the surface: parts of the Schlossplatz and of the old town around it are cobbled.
Accessible toilets are at the Hebelstraße station and above the Schlossplatz, while the toilets directly on the square are not accessible. For anyone arriving by car, the association names three places to park: the Parkhaus Steinstraße, the Parkplatz Stadtgarten and the car park at the Rathaus on Bahnhofstraße. The motto this year is "CSD bleibt Handarbeit", which is to say the CSD stays handmade. The organisers call the day a small and clearly political CSD with speeches and drag acts rather than a large stage programme, and it is run by CSD Emmendingen e.V., an association founded for it. Emmendingen is a town in the Breisgau, north of Freiburg, and we list no venues there.
