About this Event
The second CSD in Emmendingen happens on the Schlossplatz under the motto CSD bleibt Handarbeit. The organisers call it a small and clearly political CSD, with speeches and drag acts rather than a large stage programme, and the whole thing is run by a registered association founded for it.
Emmendingen sits north of Freiburg in the Breisgau. Freiburg's own CSD is in June, so the two do not compete and a lot of the Freiburg crowd comes up for this one.
The organisers publish in advance what is accessible at the square and what is not, which is more than most CSDs of this size manage.
