CSD Stendal Opens on the Marktplatz at Noon and Marches at 13:00 on 26 September

The sixth CSD Stendal is on Saturday 26 September 2026, under the motto "Wähl Liebe, Stendal verbindet Vielfalt". It is organised by CSD Stendal, a regional group of CSD Magdeburg e. V., and the whole day happens on or around the Marktplatz. Our event page has the background. This is the timetable the organisers have now published.

The day, hour by hour

  • 11:00: a service for the CSD in the St. Marienkirche, titled "Leben ist Vielfalt", held jointly by the cathedral's parish priest and the Evangelische Stadtgemeinde Stendal. It lasts an hour.
  • 12:00: opening on the Marktplatz.
  • 13:00: the demonstration sets off through the inner town.
  • 15:00: back on the Marktplatz, a political street festival with information and campaign stalls, speeches and a programme on the square.
  • 20:00: the day closes.

Admission is free. St. Marien stands on the Markt itself, so the service ends where the opening begins and nobody has to choose between them. The organisers describe the route only as a loop through the inner town and have not named the streets, so the square is the fixed point: be there at 13:00 to walk, or at 15:00 for the festival.

Stendal for a visitor

We list no LGBTQ+ venues in Stendal. The day is a demonstration with a street festival attached, put on by the Magdeburg association for its region, and the Marktplatz is where the whole of it takes place.
