A new event called Gay Summer Week wants to fill a whole campsite on the French Riviera with gay men for one week next summer. The first edition is announced for 26 June to 3 July 2027 at Camping La Paoute in Grasse, about 15 kilometres north of Cannes. According to the organisers' own website, the campsite will be reserved exclusively for the event, with room for up to 500 guests.
Where you stay
Camping La Paoute sits on the Route de Cannes just south of Grasse, among old olive trees, with a pool and a snack bar. The organisers say it is 30 minutes from Nice airport, 25 minutes from Cannes station and 40 minutes from Nice-Ville station, with free parking on site.

Guests choose between three kinds of accommodation, listed on the booking site: mini-houses with one to three bedrooms for up to six people, mini-houses with a private jacuzzi for up to four, and ready-made glamping tents called Army Lodges for two. On 5 November 2026 the one-bedroom houses were already shown as sold out.

Shared bathrooms with individual showers are renovated, private bathrooms can be booked, and there is a separate naturist area. Food and drinks are sold on site, and a bakery and a supermarket are a few minutes' walk away.

The programme
The full schedule has not been published yet. The outline so far runs from morning yoga under the olive trees through aquagym and poolside games around 11 to sports tournaments in the afternoon. Each evening has its own theme, with drag shows, karaoke, live bands and DJs. Two nights stand out: an XXL pool party on the Sunday afternoon with a barbecue, which is also open to outside guests, and a closing party in a club, which is open to everyone and free for those staying the week.

Prices and booking
Each accommodation is booked as a whole, and the price covers the stay plus every daytime and night-time event of the week. As of 5 November 2026, the organisers' rates page lists these prices per person at full occupancy: 495 euros in an Army Lodge for two, 690 euros in a three-bedroom mini-house for six, 748 euros in a two-bedroom mini-house for four, 1,123 euros in a mini-house with jacuzzi for four and 1,160 euros in a one-bedroom mini-house for two.
The website takes booking requests, and the organisers reply within 24 hours with a payment link. A deposit of 50 per cent is due at booking and the rest by 1 April 2027; anyone booking after that date pays the full amount at once. According to their privacy policy, the booking itself and the payment are handled directly by the campsite. The campsite does not advertise the week on its own website: the organisers say it is a private event and that Gay Summer Week handles the promotion. The week is run from Lausanne in Switzerland.
Dates, address and the booking link are collected on our Gay Summer Week 2027 festival page.
