Verden's third Christopher Street Day starts and ends in front of the town hall. After the opening, the demonstration walks through the town centre and comes back to the square for the stage programme, with speeches, drag, music and dance groups.
The motto is "Verden ist wir. Verden bleibt queer.", roughly "Verden is us. Verden stays queer." The organisers, CSD Verden e.V., mean it plainly: queer people here are neighbours who shape the town, and their visibility is not a one-day guest appearance.
