The second Dyke March Italia is in Rome on Saturday 3 October 2026. Our event listing covers what the march is and who calls it. This is where it goes, and what happened to the plan in the week before it.
Meeting point and route
The organisers announced the arrangements on 22 September. The march gathers at Piazza di Porta San Paolo, which they give as Piramide, at 16:00, and ends at Parco Schuster. Piramide is on metro line B. No detailed street route has been published.
The plan changed twice in two days
On 21 September the organisers posted that their notification for a moving demonstration on 3 October had been rejected by the Questura, Rome's police headquarters, on what they called generic public order grounds. They said they were reorganising, and they had notified a static gathering at Largo Agosta for 4 October instead.
On 22 September they posted that the march would take place on the 3rd after all, on the route above. In that second statement they said the 4 October static gathering had been withdrawn by the movement itself after internal discussion, that the Questura had never imposed a ban or any conditions on them, and that it had only noted that some of the sites they had asked for were unavailable because other groups had notified demonstrations there first. They thanked the Questura for its willingness to talk.
The two statements do not describe the same sequence of events, and the organisers have not accounted for the difference. They say further updates will follow, so anyone travelling for the march is better off checking their channels on the day than relying on a week-old post.
Before the march
The march is presented on Thursday 1 October at 17:00 in the Sala Carla Lonzi at the Casa Internazionale delle Donne, Via della Lungara 19, where the organisers read their political manifesto, La Manifesta. On 21 September they said a full programme of events running up to the 3rd would be published shortly. It had not appeared when this was written.
Rome around it
We list eleven places in Rome. The closest to the meeting point is the club L'Alibi, on Via di Monte Testaccio, a short walk from Porta San Paolo. Elsewhere in the city there are the bars Coming Out and My Bar, the saunas Adam and Apollion, and the guesthouses At Cornelia and Friends and Epic Home.
