Apollion has been running since 1994, which makes it the oldest gay sauna in Rome. It is on Via Mecenate in the Esquilino, three minutes on foot from the Colosseum and under ten from Termini.
Inside there is a dry sauna, a steam room with chromotherapy, a jacuzzi, a pool, a video room, dark rooms, a bar and a small smoking area. Massages can be booked on site.
It runs as a private club under Arcigay, so a membership card is needed and is issued at the door against ID.
