About this Event
FVG Pride is the regional Pride march for Friuli Venezia Giulia, and the sixth edition comes back to Udine, the city where the regional march started in 2017. Over nine years it has moved around the region, through Trieste, Gorizia, Pordenone and Lignano.
It is deliberately not a June Pride. The organisation put the march at the end of the season to get out of the summer heat, and this edition then slipped a further week to keep clear of another large gathering in the city. The route is circular: out from the FVG Pride Village, across the streets of the old centre, back to the Village, where the day ends with a party.
The slogan of this edition is Affrontando il clima ostile, facing the hostile climate, and it is printed in Italian, Friulian, Slovene, English, French and Spanish, which is roughly the language map of this corner of Italy. The manifesto behind it deals with self-determination for trans people, access to public healthcare, schools, work, and legal recognition for every kind of family.
FVG Pride ODV is a volunteer organisation and the march runs on donations and unpaid work. Anyone can walk in it, and associations can sign the manifesto to join as a group.
