NPT Pride, the Pride of Neath Port Talbot, holds its main event of the year on Sunday 15 November 2026 at Aberavon Beach. The organisers have now published the timings and, more usefully for anyone coming from outside the town, a free bus to get there. Our event page has the basics.
The timings
According to the organisers' flyer, the parade along the promenade starts at 1pm. Entertainment follows from 2pm to 10pm at the Best Western Aberavon Beach Hotel on Princess Margaret Way (SA12 6QP), which faces the beach. The flyer advises that parents use their discretion past 6pm, when the programme turns towards adults. The performer line-up has not been announced yet; the organisers said on 27 October that it would follow on their social channels.
The event is supported by the Western Bay Community Cohesion Team and the Neath Port Talbot branch of the trade union UNISON, both named on the flyer.
Getting there on a Sunday
This is the part worth reading before you travel. The organisers point out that local buses do not run in Port Talbot on a Sunday, and the hotel is out on the seafront. To close that gap, the coach operator Ridgways is running a free shuttle for the day. It runs once an hour in both directions from 12:30pm until 10:30pm and stops at three places:
- Port Talbot Parkway railway station, on the rear car park side
- Port Talbot Bus Station
- The Best Western Aberavon Beach Hotel
The organisers describe the bus as fully accessible. With the last run at 10:30pm and the entertainment ending at 10pm, there is a way back to the station after the final act. Questions about the bus go to the organisers at nptpride@gmail.com.
The first stop, Port Talbot Parkway, is the town's station on the railway between Swansea and Cardiff. In mid-November the promenade is exposed to the wind off Swansea Bay, and the parade is outdoors.
The scene nearby
We list no venues in Port Talbot itself. Cardiff, about 45 km east along the same railway, has the nearest cluster we cover, including The Golden Cross, The Kings, Eclipse Cabaret Bar, Mary's and the club Pulse.
The legal situation
Same-sex couples in England and Wales have been able to marry since 2014 under the Marriage (Same Sex Couples) Act 2013. The United Kingdom scores 43.9 of 100 on ILGA-Europe's Rainbow Index. More on travelling in the country is on our United Kingdom page.
What else is on
Pride season in Britain is nearly over by mid-November. The next one we list in the region is Newquay Pride in Cornwall on 12 December 2026, about 160 km away across the Bristol Channel.
