The Kings is a bar on Churchill Way, the short street where most of Cardiff's queer nightlife has ended up, directly across from Pulse. The same company runs both, so a night out on this block usually means crossing the road at some point.
Inside it is dark and loud and built around a stage: disco lighting, drag acts, karaoke and DJs. It calls itself Cardiff's busiest LGBTQ bar, and it draws a younger crowd early and a wider one later.
The bar states its house rule on its own pages rather than leaving it to be assumed. This is an LGBTQ+ safe space and no bigotry is tolerated.
