Pulse is the basement club under Churchill Way and the late end of a night out in Cardiff. It has been running since 2007 and calls itself Wales' flagship LGBTQ venue.

The room was rebuilt in 2025, with interactive LED strips along the walls, a new DJ box and bigger staging. Music is EDM, house and party classics rather than anything specialist, and there is a balcony looking down on the floor. The crowd runs from students to people who have been coming for most of those twenty years.

The ground floor above it is now The Exchange, a bar and kitchen run by the same company, and entry to the club covers that too, so the two work as one building rather than two stops. Pulse states on its own pages that it is an LGBTQ+ safe space and does not tolerate bigotry.
