Derby Pride is on Saturday 12 September 2026 in Markeaton Park, on the north west edge of the city, from 12:00 to 18:00. Unlike most Prides on this weekend it is ticketed: 3.50 pounds in advance, 5 pounds at the gate, free for under sixteens. Advance sales close at 23:50 on 11 September, so the gate price is what is left after that. Our event page has the outline.
Several things run at once on the site. There is a main stage, and separately an alternative tent with its own acts, so the day has two programmes rather than one queue in front of one stage. Around them are a market area of local businesses, community organisations and charities, a funfair with rides, and a wrestling display from Aspire Wrestling. Licensed bars and food vendors are on site. Derby Pride published the line-up on its own website.
The organisers published their rules of entry two weeks before the day, and they are stricter than at an open street Pride. Bag searches are carried out at the entrance. No glass, no sharps, no gas canisters, no fireworks, no barbecues, no open bottles or food, and no alcohol may be brought on site. Medical exemptions are considered, and baby formula and milk are allowed.
The evening moves to The Crown Inn on Curzon Street, which Derby Pride has announced as the official after party for 12 September. That is a few minutes from the city centre and the other end of town from the park, so it is worth planning the trip back in before the site closes at 18:00.
Behind it is Derby Pride CIO, a charity registered in England and Wales and based on Curzon Street. It runs on ticket money, a weekly lottery and fundraisers held in Derby pubs through the year, and Derby City Council is among the named sponsors of this edition. That funding model is why the ticket exists at all: the day pays for itself rather than being paid for out of a city budget.
