About this Event
Shrewsbury Pride is a weekend spread across the town rather than one site. The march goes from The Square in the middle of the town, and the rest of the programme is spread through venues around it: the library, the market hall, pubs and community spaces.
Past editions have run a main stage, a makers' market, drag shows and drag brunches, poetry, screen printing and banner making, story times for children and music in the town's bars. Enough of it is indoors that the weather matters less than it does at a park Pride.
It is organised by local volunteers rather than by a company, and most of what happens is free, with donations asked for to keep it that way. Shrewsbury Pride is a community interest company, number 15107712.
