Penzance Pride is on Saturday 12 September 2026, on the Penzance Promenade, from 11:00 to 18:00. It is free and no ticket is needed. Our event page has the outline. This is what the day itself looks like.
The march gathers on Market Jew Street by Peacocks from 11:45 and sets off at noon. It goes along Market Jew Street, turns into Chapel Street and finishes on Western Promenade Road, which takes about half an hour. Cornwall Pride, the charity that runs it, says the march carries the world's largest Pride flag.
The promenade fills from about 12:30 as the march arrives. The stage starts at 12:40 and runs through the afternoon and into the evening, with drag performers, comedians, dancers, cabaret singers and live music. More than thirty stalls are booked, a mix of traders, local charities and LGBTQ+ support groups, alongside food vendors and a bar for over eighteens.
The organisers are specific about access, including about what is not there. The main site is hard, level ground, while the march route has steep inclines and declines. There are accessible toilets with wide doors and a quiet space with a sensory gazebo stocked with ear defenders and fidget toys. There are no wheelchair viewing platforms and no sign language interpreters.
Transport for Cornwall is the travel partner and the organisers ask people to come by bus, train or Park and Ride instead of driving. Penzance station is the end of the line from London and sits at the eastern end of Market Jew Street, a few minutes from where the march gathers.
Penzance itself has no gay bar, club or sauna, which is ordinary for a town this size in the far west of Cornwall and part of why the day matters locally. Cornwall Pride keeps a list of support groups in the town and pays for LGBTQ+ support services across the county out of donations and what it raises at these events.

The next Pride after this one is Pembrokeshire Pride Festival on 19 September. It is 179 km away in a straight line and a great deal further by road, so it is a separate trip rather than the other half of a weekend.
