CSD Herzogenaurach Gathers on the Hauptstraße at 15:00 on 26 September and Marches at 16:30

The second Christopher Street Day in Herzogenaurach is on Saturday 26 September 2026, under the motto "Vielfalt verbindet". Our event page for CSD Herzogenaurach covers what the day is and who runs it. The organisers have now published the timetable.

People gather on the Hauptstraße from 15:00. The speeches start at 16:00, the demonstration moves off through the town at about 16:30, and the street festival on the Hauptstraße runs from 18:00 until 20:30. Two bands play on the street: Ragin' Diarrhea at 18:00, with ska, punk, rock and reggae, and Ivy Mountains at 19:00 with alternative rock.

Six speakers are billed for the rally. Mayor German Hacker opens it, as he did in 2025. Aaron Valent, a Die Linke member of the Bundestag for Würzburg, speaks, as does Thorben Starke, who chairs the SPDqueer working group in Nuremberg, and the Erlangen branch of Omas gegen Rechts. The pastor Karola Schürrle speaks for a church that is open and blesses couples. Rebecca Lenhard, a Green member of the Bundestag, closes the rally, which she also did last year. The programme page lists all of it with the times.

There are house rules and they are worth reading before you pack. Weapons, drugs, your own alcohol and nudity are all out, and so are national flags. An awareness pavilion, an awareness team and a first aid service are on site at the street festival.

Getting there is a bus ride from Erlangen: line 201 to the stop "An der Schütt", with line 204 coming in from Höchstadt and Weisendorf. By car, the Großparkplatz An der Schütt is about five minutes on foot from the site. One thing to know in advance is that the Badgasse is closed for building work, with the way round signposted locally. The organisers also point out that the FamiFun event at the Weihersbachgelände runs from 13:00 to 17:30 and that the CSD is timed so you can do both.

The afterparty is at the Jugendhaus Rabatz on Erlanger Straße 56a, about a quarter of an hour's walk from the street festival. Doors are at 19:30, DJ Pascal HNAS plays techno and trance from 20:00 and DJ Lena Brysch melodic techno from 22:30. Age limits apply and an official identity card or passport is checked at the door, which is the usual arrangement for a youth centre.

Germany scores 69.54 out of 100 on ILGA-Europe's Rainbow Index, and our country page for Germany has the legal detail. We list no venues in Herzogenaurach itself, so the CSD and its afterparty are the queer programme in the town that weekend.

Three other CSDs fall on the same afternoon within a couple of hours' drive, so a choice has to be made: CSD Schorndorf, the town's first, about 131 km away, CSD Landshut at about 147 km, and CSD Gera at about 168 km.
