The third Christopher Street Day in Verden falls on Saturday, 26 September 2026. It gathers from 13:00 on the Rathausvorplatz in front of the town hall, and it finishes there as well. The motto is "Verden ist wir. Verden bleibt queer.", which is to say Verden is us and Verden stays queer.
One thing has to be planned around: the route is not public. The organisers write in their announcement that the exact course of the march through the town centre will be given out only shortly before the day, through their own channels, for security reasons. Anyone hoping to watch from a particular corner rather than walk along should check on the morning itself.
The day opens with the rally and the reading of the assembly rules. The demonstration then walks through the centre, and the stage programme runs once it is back on the square. On the bill are speeches from the board of CSD Verden e.V., accounts from people who live in the town, drag performances, dance groups and music from Pride Night and Planet Queer. Organisations take information stands and there are merchandise stalls. The organisers have asked the town for its own contributions, for music, drag, spoken word, dance and speeches, rather than booking a line-up, so the running order is filled largely from Verden itself.
Verden an der Aller is a district town in Lower Saxony south east of Bremen, and its CSD is young. The first was held on 7 September 2024 with the town's youth centre, and the organisers put the turnout at more than 500. They registered an association in June 2025 to carry the work past one Saturday a year. It runs a Queertreff at the youth centre on the third Tuesday of every month, which for a visitor is the more useful thing to know: the September demonstration is the visible end of something that meets all year.
