Giugliano's First Pride Gathers at the Metro Station at 15:30 on 26 September

Giugliano in Campania holds its first Pride on Saturday 26 September 2026. The march gathers at 15:30 at the exit of the Giugliano metro station, a time and a place two local outlets report from the organising committee. The motto is Lo cunto de tuttə. Nessunə fuori dalla fiaba, Neapolitan for everyone's tale, nobody left out of the story, and the schwa standing in for the gendered ending is part of what it says.

What the committee has published

There is no route map and no stage bill. What the organisers put out instead is the argument: their own political document sets the march beside rights, health, welfare, education and care of the local area, and describes the Pride as a collective process of participation, culture and inclusion rather than a single afternoon. The same page carries the line NO PRIDE IN GENOCIDE. The committee behind it came out of a public assembly on 6 July 2026 in the events hall of the Claudio library on Piazza Gramsci, to which associations, local groups and residents were invited.

The town is not of one mind

Local reporting describes the announcement dividing opinion across the town's own social media pages, with firm positions taken on both sides. The committee's answer, as ArtesTV reports it, is that freedom cannot be divided and rights cannot be selected. Il Meridiano News writes that the organisers built the day around peace as a responsibility of the community itself rather than around international politics.

Italy, and what else is on

Italy scores 24.11 out of 100 on ILGA-Europe's Rainbow Index, among the lowest figures in western Europe, and our country page for Italy sets out what sits behind it. The organisers call theirs the first Pride in the area north of Naples, a belt of towns that has had none. Two others fall close by: the Pride dei Campi Flegrei in Bacoli on 19 September, 18 kilometres away, and the Dyke March Italia in Rome on 3 October. We list no venues in Giugliano, so a visitor coming for the march is coming for the march.
