The fifth CSD Görlitz-Zgorzelec is on Saturday 26 September 2026, under the motto love::united. The demonstration gathers on Berliner Straße in front of the Haus des Handwerks and runs from 12:00 to 15:00. The closing rally, the Picknick der Vielfalt, then takes the Obermarkt in Görlitz from 15:00 until 21:15. That is the programme the organisers publish, in German and in Polish, as they publish everything else.
The stage
Five Eurovision performers are billed for the Obermarkt. Ruslana won the contest for Ukraine in 2004, Anne-Marie David won it for Luxembourg in 1973, Chiara has represented Malta three times, Hera Björk sang for Iceland in 2010 and Poli Genova came fourth for Bulgaria in 2016. Beside them the programme lists OXA, a finalist on The Voice of Germany in 2025, and Christian Jaycob, who won Deutschland sucht den Superstar in 2024.
Between the music come about 25 speakers, among them Sophie Koch, the German federal government's queer commissioner, along with mayors and officials from both sides of the river and representatives of LGBTIQ organisations. Party and campaign groups take stands on the square.
The aftershow
Club Nostromo on Cottbuser Straße opens at 21:30. DJ Dani plays from 21:30, El Suli and Marmuto perform live at 00:30 and DJ Tiasz takes over at 01:00. Entry is 8.40 euros in advance and 10 euros on the door, for over 16s with identification, and soft drinks and beer are half price in the first hour.
Two countries in one afternoon
Görlitz and Zgorzelec are one town cut in half by the Neisse and by a border, joined by a footbridge that takes a couple of minutes to walk. What the crossing means in law is not small. The CSD is one of the few days in the year when both halves of the town run a single programme, which is why the organisers put every line of it out in both languages.
Around it
We list no venues in Görlitz, so the day itself is the scene. The town is the easternmost in Germany and its old town came through the war largely undamaged, so the walk from the gathering point up to the Obermarkt runs through streets that are mostly intact.
