Freilassing holds its second CSD on Saturday 12 September 2026. Our event page explains who is behind it and how it grew out of the shared Pride season the two districts run. The organisers have now published the timetable, the motto and the line-up.
The motto
This year's motto is "unübersehbar, unüberhörbar", impossible to overlook and impossible to not hear. The organisers put it that way, they say, because they will not be intimidated and because they are still going out on the street for their rights. For a town of this size on the Bavarian border it is a plainer statement than it looks: the second edition is the one that decides whether a small-town CSD becomes a fixture.
The day
Everything happens at the Rathaus, and the published times are these. Assembly is at 13:00 on the Rathausplatz. The demonstration starts at 13:30. The stage programme begins back at the Rathaus at 15:00 and the site runs until 18:00. Six acts are billed: Morita Maschinella, Lily Hightower, Venezia Velour, Laurin Carol Roxanne, Pat Hetic and King Divide.
The after party starts at 18:30 at das Post, with karaoke, music, food and drink. Entry there is free.
Who is paying for it
The sponsor list is worth a look because of what it says about the town rather than about the Pride. Alongside a local pharmacy and the Sportpark, it carries Caritas and the Jugendforum run with the town of Freilassing itself, plus branches of three parties and the VVN-BdA. A rural CSD that has the municipality's own youth forum on the poster in its second year is not operating against its town.

The CSD is the end of a Pride season that Queergaden e. V., CSD Freilassing and Queer Traunstein e. V. ran together across the Traunstein district and the Berchtesgadener Land through the summer; the calendar is on Queer Traunstein's Pride Month page. Gaycation lists no venues in Freilassing, and the town sits on the Salzach directly opposite Salzburg, so the evening options are mostly across the border.
