The Allgäu Pride Summer ends on Saturday 12 September 2026 with the CSD in Kaufbeuren. Our event page carries the date and the outline. What follows is what Allgäu Pride e. V. has published since, on its Pride Summer page and in its own announcements.
The demonstration
The call is for 11:45 at the Zollhäuschen, Schmiedgasse 25 in Kaufbeuren, and the march starts at 12:00. It ends at the Spitalhof, where the rally is held and the speeches are given. The organisers published conduct rules with the call: the demonstration stays peaceful, participants keep to the agreed route, banners and slogans with discriminatory or violence-glorifying content are not permitted, and sound systems are to be kept within reason for the streets they pass through.
The festival
The festival follows at the Spitalhof from 14:00, on the ground the march arrives at. Entry is free this year, and the organisers flag that as a change from previous editions. Five music acts are billed, Jui Raven, Callherdog, Sophia Halmen, Goldie 333 and a duo show by Lara Hulo, with seven drag performers alongside them, among them Olga Flixpuss, Envy LaRue and Piana Electric. Food and drink come from two Kaufbeuren businesses and a local tattoo artist works on site.
Three services are on the site rather than on the stage. MSM ZAS Schwaben runs anonymous testing, AWO Schwubis offers advice next to it, and the AKB foundation registers stem cell donors.
The week before it
The CSD is the last day of a Pride Week that runs from 5 to 13 September, and three of its dates sit in and around Kaufbeuren. On 8 September the film The Wedding Banquet screens at the Filmhaus Huber, Maximilian-Philipp-Straße 15 in Türkheim, doors at 19:00 and start at 20:00, ticket required. On 9 September there is a reading of the children's book Das Regenbogenfest at the Schauburg, Ganghoferstraße 6 in Kaufbeuren, doors at 14:30 and start at 15:00, followed by a book swap from 17:00; the reading needs a ticket. On 10 September AWO Schwubis holds an advice day at the city's equality and family department, Am Salzmarkt 2-4, from 11:00 to 15:00, with registration in advance.
The town and the country
Gaycation lists no venues in Kaufbeuren, which is normal for a town of this size in the Allgäu, so the Pride week is the scene for those days rather than an addition to one. Germany scores 69.54 out of 100 on ILGA-Europe's Rainbow Index; what sits behind that number is on our Germany country page.
