Delmenhorst holds its second Christopher Street Day on Saturday 19 September 2026. The demonstration starts at 14:00 on the Hotelwiese and ends with a rally on the Marktplatz from 16:30. Our CSD Delmenhorst 2026 event page tells how the day went ahead after its public funding was withdrawn.
A route named on the day
CSD Delmenhorst is not publishing the exact route in advance. According to the Weser-Kurier, the team worked out its security arrangements with the police and will give the route only on the day. It will be longer than last year's. The organisers registered 1,500 participants with the authorities and say they can handle more. Johanniter medics will be on hand, along with stewards trained in awareness work.
For anyone travelling in, that makes the Hotelwiese at 14:00 and the Marktplatz at 16:30 the two fixed points of the afternoon.
On the Marktplatz
The rally has art, music and political speeches. Delmenhorst's mayor, Petra Gerlach, gives the opening speech. She and Lebenshilfe Delmenhorst, the local association for people with intellectual disabilities, are the patrons of this year's CSD. Speakers from Die Linke and the Greens follow. The music comes from DJ Ronja Robbers and Elias, a singer from East Frisia, and Sister Sinistra and Dulanvian from Hamburg perform in drag.
The afterparty is at the Divarena in Deichhorst, from around 22:00.
Delmenhorst and nearby
Delmenhorst lies directly west of Bremen. We list no venues in the town itself. Two other Prides fall on the same Saturday within reach: CSD Walsrode, about 70 km east, and Bi+Pride Hamburg, about 110 km away. A week later, on 26 September, CSD Verden is about 40 km away, and Herbst Pride Norden follows near the coast on 10 October.
