Two men were stabbed outside Bussi Bar on Pannierstraße in Berlin-Neukölln at about 3:40 am on Saturday, 24 October 2026. Both had surgery, and according to the Berlin police report their lives are not in danger. The three attackers escaped, and a search of the area that night found no one.
The police describe the sequence like this. Three unknown men wanted to enter the bar and were turned away by a 29-year-old staff member, who was then hit in the face. Two guests, aged 36 and 31, came to help her. The older man held two of the attackers for a moment before they pulled free and ran. The group came back shortly afterwards and stabbed the younger man as well. Both men have stab wounds to the leg, the 31-year-old also to the buttocks. The staff member was not treated at first.
The police release does not name the bar. But it was identified as Bussi Bar, a queer-friendly cocktail bar. Its published house rules say that homophobic, transphobic, sexist and aggressive behaviour will not be tolerated.
The criminal police of Directorate 5 (City) are investigating. As of 26 October 2026 the police had not named an anti-queer motive, and the case is not with the state security division that handles politically motivated crime. What led to the refusal at the door has not been made public.
The bar said on its Instagram profile that it is closed until Tuesday, 27 October 2026.
