Torre del Lago Puccini, a village inside the comune of Viareggio on the Tuscan coast, holds the busiest LGBTQ+ summer season in Italy, and the thick of it falls in August. The operator of the venues at the marina gives 7 to 30 August 2026 for this year's Torre Pride Fest, with a programme every night across its clubs and its beach club. An independent event listing carries the same festival in weekly blocks running to 31 August 2026.
It is worth being clear about what this is not. There is no march and no political programme. The organisers describe it as a summer event of parties, shows, music and aperitifs for the LGBTQIA+ community, held at the Marina di Torre del Lago. Italy's Pride calendar, which runs to 4 October this year, carries no date in Versilia at all.
Everything sits within a few minutes' walk of each other at the sea end of Viale Europa. We list five places there: the club Mamamia, the bars Baddy and Boca, the lido Mama Beach, which takes bookings online for its loungers, and I Levrieri Tourist Locations for a bed.
Two dates inside the programme are worth knowing before you plan around them. The published schedule names 14 August, the eve of Ferragosto, as an event of its own, and Ferragosto on 15 August is the day the Italian holiday calendar turns on. Accommodation in Versilia is under the most pressure in that week, which is the same week the marina is at its busiest.
The season is longer than the festival. The same operator gives May to September for the venues as a whole, so late June and the first half of September are the quieter ends of the same thing.
