Mamamia is the club that made Torre del Lago a gay destination. It opened in 1999 on Viale Europa, the strip that runs down to the marina, and it is still the biggest thing on that street.

There is an indoor dancefloor and a large open-air area, with a terrace that connects to Baddy next door. The programming is drag-heavy: shows, contests and DJ sets moving between pop, house and revival. The same operation runs Mama Beach, the equipped sand directly opposite, so in summer the party moves onto the beach and back again.

Several of the Italian scene's set-piece events happen here, among them Miss Drag Queen Italia, LesWeek and the WE Bear weekend. The crowd is mixed and largely Italian for most of the year, and turns international in the peak weeks. The club keeps going through the winter at a smaller scale.

There is wheelchair access. No guest list, no advance ticketing.
