Landshut holds its eighth Christopher Street Day on Saturday 26 September 2026. As in every year, it falls on the last Saturday of September. It is organised by Queer in Niederbayern e. V., the association that also runs the CSDs in Kelheim and Straubing. Our event page has the background on the day and the region.
The motto and the timetable
This year's motto is "Vielfalt! - grenzenlos, weltweit, zusammen", roughly "Diversity! Borderless, worldwide, together". The association explains it with the idea that people can only strengthen each other by standing together.
- 12:30: the demonstration sets off.
- As in previous years, the march ends in the street festival on the Ländtorplatz.
- 14:00: the rally starts on the Ländtorplatz, with speeches and a stage programme of music.
Around the rally there are information stands with activities, food and drink. The details come from the association's event announcement, which says more information will follow in the coming days. The association's own website confirms the date.
Security
The organisers say safety on the march and on the square has an even higher priority than usual this year. Their team is in close contact with the police, who have offered stronger protection for the day on their own initiative.
Landshut for a visitor
Gaycation.eu lists no LGBTQ+ bars or venues in Landshut. The street festival on the Ländtorplatz, with its stands and stage, is where the day comes together after the march.
