The fifth Marche des Fiertés de Chambéry is on Saturday 10 October 2026, organised as every year by the association LGBT+ Savoie. The times are now published on the Grand Chambéry events page, and the day is long: from 11:00 in the morning to 03:00 the next night. The motto for this edition is "Militons, marchons, dansons, existons !"
The day, hour by hour
- 11:00: the village opens, with make-up stands for adults and children, stalls from local associations and a testing stand run by CAARUD 73, the Savoie harm reduction service.
- 14:00: the march leaves the place Brigade de Savoie.
- Around 17:00: the march ends at the Carré Curial in the town centre.
- After the march: a drag show and DJ sets at the Carré Curial, with reggaeton, latin club, commercial techno and eurodance, running until 03:00.
Everything is free. Along the way the march stops for a minute of silence on the place du Palais de Justice, for victims of anti-LGBT violence, which the city of Chambéry describes as part of what makes the day a protest as well as a party. The city works with the organisers on the route and the logistics.
Chambéry for a visitor
We list no venues in Chambéry, which is a town of mid size between Lyon, Grenoble and the Alps. LGBT+ Savoie is the local point of contact the rest of the year and posts updates on its Instagram account, which is where any change on the day will appear.
The same Saturday, the Marche des Fiertés de Lyon et Villeurbanne takes place about 90 km to the west, so anyone planning a trip to the region has to choose one of the two marches.
France
France opened marriage to same-sex couples in 2013 and scores 60.25 of 100 on ILGA-Europe's Rainbow Index. Our France page covers the legal situation and what it means for travellers.
