The Black Room

Recurring Event — Weekly | Barcelona, Spain

About this Event

The Black Room is Barcelona's most acclaimed weekly gay Sunday night party, held at Disco City Hall on the Rambla de Catalunya. Running from around midnight until 5 am (with some themed editions running until 6.30 am), it draws a loyal, masculine and cruise-friendly crowd to one of the city's most storied nightlife settings. The club itself occupies a beautifully restored former turn-of-the-century theatre, spread across multiple floors with a main dance floor, a large outdoor terrace and a dedicated dark room.
The party launched a reinvented chapter under the banner "Reborn From the Darkness" in late 2025, presenting itself as sleeker, more intense and more erotic than ever while retaining its tribal and house music DNA. Resident and international DJs deliver high-energy sets spanning tribal, house, techno and pop remixes, accompanied by topless go-go dancers, live BDSM performances and fetish-themed shows featuring some of the hottest performers in Barcelona.
Each edition carries its own themed identity, with past nights including LATEX, BATTLES, LATINO and REBORN editions, keeping the weekly format fresh and the crowd engaged. The event attracts a blend of locals and international visitors, with a noticeably energetic, no-attitude atmosphere. A free guestlist operates via Eventbrite and is updated weekly, typically on Thursdays; free entry is valid until 1 am.
Disco City Hall sits in the heart of Barcelona close to Plaça de Catalunya, surrounded by landmarks including La Casa Batlló, La Pedrera and Las Ramblas, making it a highly accessible destination from any part of the city.
