Berlin Dark

Darkrooms | Bars | Cruising in Barcelona, Spain

About

BerlinDark is Barcelona's hard and fetish bar, a meeting place for men who want to connect freely, openly, and on their own terms. Located on Passatge de Prunera in the Poble Sec neighbourhood, just a short walk from the Eixample gay district, it draws a loyal mix of locals and international visitors who share a taste for the raw end of nightlife.
The space is deliberately atmospheric: low lighting, industrial fixtures, and a layout that rewards exploration. Behind the bar area, a well-equipped cruising zone offers a sling, a dungeon, a piss zone, a St Andrew's cross, curtained cabins, a central mattress, and a selection of more secluded corners. Changing facilities and a cloakroom are available at the entrance, making it easy to arrive dressed for the street and leave wearing something else entirely.
Dress code is taken seriously and sets the tone of each night. Accepted attire includes jockstraps, underwear, leather, rubber, sportswear, military gear, and puppy kit, as well as going nude where the event allows. The philosophy behind the dress code is rooted in the history of gay leather and fetish culture, a tradition the venue treats with genuine respect rather than as a marketing exercise.
The weekly programme is structured and varied. Tuesdays run as an Underwear Party, Thursdays as a Naked Party, and Fridays as Darkness Night, where the venue goes almost completely dark. Saturdays bring Fun & Sex, Sundays feature Fuck My Hole, and Wednesdays host Club Bastards, the weekly inclusive session open to men, women, couples, and people of any gender or orientation. Monthly and periodic special events include Byzantium, a mixed LGBTQ+ night on the last Friday of the month, Kings of Piss for watersports fans, Gear Pigs, Sun-Sex-Day on the first Sunday of the month (an eight-hour session starting in the early evening), and the Confidential event, run in collaboration with Macho Factory and featuring performers from their roster.
The venue operates a clear code of conduct built around enthusiastic consent, mutual respect, and personal privacy. Mobile phones and recording devices are restricted inside. The use of PrEP, DoxyPEP, and risk-reduction resources for chemsex contexts is actively supported, with information made available on site. The approach is frank and matter-of-fact rather than preachy, reflecting the straightforward attitude that runs through the whole operation.
BerlinDark is also open to collaboration with photographers, filmmakers, and brands for photoshoots during pre-arranged sessions outside of regular opening hours.

A great experience! Went there with my partner and had so much fun 😊 Everyone is super nice and aware of boundries. The place isn't very big, but certainly interesting and the people are cool. I recommend you go there 1 hour after it opens when it gets a bit more full and fun.

Friendly sexy staff greeted and welcomed me. Price was great. Belongings were secure. Drinks were generous. Ambiance was everything you would hope a naked gay cruising space would provide. Place was filled on a Sunday evening 1130pm when I arrived. Really sexy men in attendance. The design of the space promoted contact. Some private areas and some public areas. Darkroom was fun. I will definitely return.

Husband and I had a good time here.

The host was friendly and super helpful,.

Bar staff were a bit aloof but offered good service.

Toilet facilities are basic and could do with an upgrade but generally clean.

Bar area was pretty standard; stools, TV screens and hood range of drinks.

The rest of the place was like a fun house to be explored. Not very big but with several areas with different ways to 'hang out'.

Smoking is permitted inside. Not many people are smoking but the smell is noticeable.

BAD, avoid!!! I was surprised in bad way of how this place can be legally open and running. There are no safety measures at all!

People can smoke almost everywhere with exception of the bar counter and the cloakroom, basically the entire play area in the back and the bathroom you’ll find people smoking and even worse the place is divided by plastic fabric and it can catch fire very easily.

This bar is surprisingly popular on first Sunday of each month and it gets packed, however, not many people it’s packed because the place is really small.

The bar has some chairs at the bar, some old boxes with a cover on the top the be a “play bed” and there is no space. It’s like going to a dance club and not be able to dance because it’s literally packed and you can’t move because it’s a way too small.

Toilets are really dirty and often long queues to use.

Payment at the reception only by cash and no receipt 💸

Their web page and social media has some attractive pictures from the bar, they are good taking picture but when you get there and see the place it’s disappointing!!

The guy at the cloakroom will surely remember me if he reads this comment as I asked him why smoking is allowed in the whole play area and he said “that’s why people come here, you should not come back” and I told him that no doubt I will not come back to this bad experience.

My point with my complain about the smoking is because this is illegal, they must built an indoor room sealed where smokers can have their cigarettes like any other bar, that’s for health and safety reasons.

As people here in Spain says, “un caramelito” para ser denunciado.

I would not never go here again, this is not an inclusive community. It's lame. Not sensual or sexual. Kiko the barmen/ doorman needs to go! And I'm not the only persons to think so. There so many better/best gay spaces to go to in Barcelona. Don't waste you money and energy here. Seriously don't
