About this Event
Uppsala Pride is run by RFSL Uppsala and packed into a single long day. The Pride House takes over Uppsala Konsert & Kongress, the concert hall on Vaksalagatan, across several floors, and the parade forms up on Vaksala torg just outside it.
Inside there is a queer clothes swap, an artist alley, the library's book bike, a games room, free testing for sexually transmitted infections, a drag show and, at the end of it, an after-party. A Pride week of events across the city leads into the Saturday.
The organisers have made a point of running a leaner edition than in past years, with fewer stages and lower fees for the groups taking part, which is a deliberate choice about keeping the thing affordable rather than a sign of it winding down.
