About

Ikusgune is the observatory against LGTBI+phobia for Vitoria-Gasteiz, run by the Lumagorri collective together with the city council. It keeps an office on Pintorería, one of the old streets of the medieval centre.

Its main work is recording what happens. It takes reports of homophobic, lesbophobic, biphobic and transphobic abuse, supports people who want to take a case further, and publishes what it has collected in an annual report. The count for 2025 was 30 incidents in the city.

For anyone visiting, the practical point is that there is a local place to report an incident and get help, in person, by phone or through the form on its site. It also publishes plain-language safety guides, including one written for people using cruising spaces, and runs talks, film screenings and exhibitions through the year. Both Basque and Spanish are spoken.
