Plaff has been open in Vigo's Casco Vello since 1992. It sits on Rúa Oliva, a narrow street in the old town, and the sign outside is a comic-book splash with the bar's name inside it.
It calls itself the only Eurovision pub in Galicia, and the contest really does run through the year here: fan parties, themed nights, and a bingo the bar puts on under its own PetardPop banner. Drag performers are booked in for weekends.
This is an early-evening bar rather than a late-night one. Midweek it works as a quiet café. At the weekend it fills up before the clubs open, and a DJ takes over.
