Contexto Queer is an LGBTIQA+ bookshop on Avinguda del Primat Reig, north-east of the centre and away from the Ruzafa cluster. The stock is built around queer, feminist and anti-racist writing, and it spans the genres rather than confining itself to literary fiction: science fiction, fantasy, crime, horror, romance, graphic novels, essays, biography and a children's section.
The shop calls itself a safe space and backs that with a programme rather than a sign. Book clubs, writing groups, literary talks, poetry competitions and author events run weekly.
It also sells online and ships, which matters if you want something in Spanish that is hard to find at home.
