Turangalila

Turangalila is a dinner-and-drag restaurant in Campanar, north-west of the centre, and it has been running the format long enough to be the one Valencians name when the subject comes up. A multi-course Mediterranean menu, then a cabaret from drag performers between the courses.

It is built for groups. The room takes up to around two hundred, and birthdays, hen parties and work dinners make up much of the trade, which sets the tone: broad, loud and playing to the table rather than to a queer crowd specifically.

Bookings are taken by telephone only, which the restaurant states on its own front page. Worth knowing before you go looking for an online form.
