Parrots sits on the corner where Placa de la Industria meets Carrer de Joan Tarrida, which puts it at the exact point the Sitges gay scene starts. The terrace spills out across the square and is where most people begin the evening.
It is one of the oldest gay bars in town and works as a pub rather than a club: cocktails, beer, tapas and pub food, with the tables outside doing the heavy lifting. The crowd is mixed and international, heavier on the over-thirties, and turns over constantly as people move on to the bars further up the street.
Parrots is the flagship of the Parrots Group, which also runs the hotel on Joan Tarrida and the Central Bar a few doors along on the same square.
