Sala Queen is the gay club in Santander, on Calle de Tetuán a few streets back from the bay. It took over the address from Dragón, which ran there for about two decades, and kept the same place in the Cantabrian scene.
The ground floor has the dance floor and the bar. Upstairs there is a small darkroom area. Drag and cabaret shows are the core of what the club does, with resident DJs playing commercial and dance sets around them, and the venue bills itself as Queen Cabaret rather than as a straightforward disco.
The crowd is local and mixed, and the room is small enough to fill up quickly on show nights. Table reservations are handled over WhatsApp.
