The Purple is a small adults-only hotel in the middle of Sant Antoni de Portmany, on the west coast about sixteen kilometres from Ibiza Town. It has twenty-nine rooms and runs as a gay hotel; the guests it draws are largely gay men.
The building is arranged around a courtyard with a pool, and the pool bar is where most of the day happens. Rooms look out over the Mediterranean or into the courtyard. Dogs are welcome, which is not common in this bracket.
Sant Antoni is walkable from the door, the sunset bars included, and the hotel has its own parking, which on this side of the island is worth more than it sounds. Ibiza Town and the bars on Calle de la Virgen are a bus or a taxi away.
