Pikante is an adult shop on Calle Gil de Jaz, inside the Galerias Pidal arcade behind El Corte Ingles. It is one of a chain with branches in ten Spanish cities, and what makes the Oviedo one worth knowing about is behind the shop floor rather than on it.
That back part is a cruising area: a run of cabins, some with glory holes, some with a bed, some single, and unlit stretches between them. There is a video section as well, and the shop itself carries the usual toys, cosmetics, lingerie and fetish gear.
It is a mixed shop rather than a gay venue as such, and the front of the house draws all sorts. It stands on the edge of the centre, a couple of minutes from the Campo de San Francisco.
