Piscis opened in May 1980, when a gay bar in Murcia was something you found by word of mouth. It is still running, and the city eventually named the alley after it. The address is Callejón del Piscis, off Plaza de Santo Domingo.
The club is split into two areas plus a dark zone. One side is the dance floor under LED lighting, painted murals and neon. The other is a quieter bar with sofas and tables where you can hear yourself talk. Drag and cabaret are the regular programme, with burlesque nights and bingo alongside.
It calls itself a room of ambiente LGTBIQ+ for everyone, and the crowd runs across ages. The club puts on its own Pride parties each June.
