Mar Bianco is a gay men only apartment complex in Campo Internacional, the quiet residential strip above the Maspalomas dunes. Reservations are taken from gay men and the house states that as its rule rather than as a preference.
There are twelve apartments in four sizes. The standard units have two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a private garden; the Deluxe and Deluxe Plus flats are larger and have a terrace of their own. Every apartment has a fully equipped kitchen, so this is self-catering rather than a hotel with a dining room.
The shared areas are a pool kept warm through the winter and a solarium with a whirlpool. Clothing is optional at the pool and in the solarium. Check-in is automated and works around the clock, with a staffed line during the day and an emergency number outside it. Pets are not allowed.
The Yumbo Centrum is roughly twenty minutes on foot, the Maspalomas golf course sits under a kilometre away and Playa del Ingles is the nearest beach.
