Gran Cafe Latino is the Latin music bar on the ground floor of the Yumbo Centrum, on the corner known as the Six Pack where several of the busiest terraces sit together. Salsa, merengue, samba and Spanish chart music are what the bar is built around.
There is a small room inside and a large terrace, and the terrace is the point: it faces the walkway and fills up as the centre gets going. The house cocktail is called the Cocktail Latino, and coffee and long drinks are served alongside.
Staff are used to giving visitors directions and suggestions for the rest of the island.
