Bottoms Up has been sailing gay and lesbian boat parties out of Maspalomas since October 2013. The trip lasts about five hours and runs down the south coast past Anfi del Mar, Amadores and Puerto Mogan.
The ticket covers the lot: bar, food, a live DJ set, a drag act, a banana boat ride, the transport and the insurance. Water sports on the way are extra but discounted. Guests gather at the main entrance of the Yumbo Centrum and a bus runs them from the mini golf down to the harbour at Puerto Rico, so nobody needs a taxi.
It sails weekly through the summer and says everyone is welcome then. In the winter it puts on its own Pride boat party, which is the version that sells out first.
