Kipfer & Lover is a gastrobar in Málaga's old town, on the small street beside the Teatro Cervantes. It is a restaurant and a bar and an exhibition space at once, and it was one of the first openly gay-friendly places in the centre.
The kitchen is Mediterranean and the wine list is long. A room called Espacio W is given over to art shows, talks and readings, and the programme leans towards work by and about queer and trans people; a Málaga Festival event and a book launch on voice feminisation have both been held there.
Its own line is that it cultivates respect and love for every identity and culture, and that it is more than a bar. The room is small and it fills, so a table is worth asking about.
