Estraperlo is a café bar in Soho, the arts quarter between the port and Calle Larios, and it is the LGBTQI+ address on that side of the city rather than in the Merced cluster. It is run by a Brit and a Spaniard, which gives it a mixed international crowd.

It works as a café from the morning and as a bar into the late evening, inside or on the terrace. The music covers jazz, funk, pop, house and classical, the décor is modern and colourful, and the walls are hung with work by local artists, which the bar changes and describes as a café gallery. There is free wifi.

The crowd is young and old, gay and straight, and heavy on Soho residents. It is a place to start an evening rather than end one.
