L'HOrgull is the LGBTI+ rights association of L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, set up in the city in June 2019. It works on visibility for the community, takes reports of LGBTI-phobic incidents and follows them up, and helps people with the ordinary problems of being out in a city of nearly 300,000 that has no gay quarter of its own.
Two of its services are free and worth knowing about: legal advice, and health advice run together with the city's general hospital. There are also support groups for LGBTI+ families and for trans people.
The association gives annual awards to people and organisations working for LGBTI rights, holds a benefit gala for HIV and AIDS work, and has run a campaign against LGBTI-phobia in sport with the city's football clubs, whose players wore captain's armbands carrying the message. It co-organises the city's own Pride and takes part in Barcelona Pride.
It is based at a municipal multi-purpose space on Carrer de Simancas, in the Pubilla Cases neighbourhood.
