Jerez de la Frontera holds its Pride over two main days in June, organised by JereLesGay, the city's LGBTIQ+ association, together with the Ayuntamiento. The association has been active in Jerez since the early 2000s, and the city first raised the rainbow flag at the town hall in 2001.
The usual shape is an institutional day followed by the march. The first day brings the flag raising, a manifesto and the Premio Arcoiris, then the pregon, the opening speech, held in one of the old town's barrios with music and drag afterwards. On the second day the Manifestacion del Orgullo crosses the centre and ends at the Alameda Vieja beside the Alcazar with an open-air concert.
A week of smaller activities usually leads up to the two main days.
