About

JereLesGay is the LGTBIQAP+ association of Jerez de la Frontera. It has been running since 2001, which makes it the first association of its kind in the city and the oldest in the province of Cadiz, and it belongs to the national federation FELGTBI+.

The office is on Calle Tio Juane, by the Estancia Barrera, and it is where most of the work happens. Punto Arcoiris is the drop-in service, offering support and psychological counselling. Working groups meet there for women, for trans and non-binary people, for young people, for older people, and for legal advice and culture. There is also a lending library of LGTBIQAP+ books and film.

The association organises Jerez Pride together with the city council, and it ran the first Pride march held anywhere in the province of Cadiz. It has kept a caseta at the Feria de Jerez since 2004, which it describes as the longest-running LGBTI+ fair booth in Spain. It also runs workshops in the city's schools and a programme of LGTBIQAP+ evenings over the summer.

In 2026 the city gave it the Premio Arcoiris for twenty-five years of work.
