DADO is a cocktail bar on Carrer de la Mare de Déu, the narrow pedestrian lane in Sa Penya that almost everyone calls Calle de la Virgen and where most of Ibiza Town's gay nightlife sits.
Its terrace takes up part of the street. The lane is narrow enough that the tables on both sides end up in one conversation, which is a good part of why people come. Cocktails are the main business, and there is a worked-out list of non-alcoholic drinks beside them, including a homemade ginger squash the bar is known for.
The crowd is mixed gay, part local and part visiting. It is a place to start a night rather than to finish one.
